Speaking part of IELTS

can be quite stressful as you have to interact with a certified examiner and answer questions, which are close to real-life situations.

There are three parts to the IELTS test and each part fulfils a specific function in terms of interaction pattern, task input and test taker output.

In Part 1, you answer questions about yourself and your family. In Part 2, you speak about a topic. In Part 3, you have a longer discussion on the topic.

The Speaking test is the same for both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.

HOW TO ANSWER QUESTIONS IN IELTS SPEAKING PARTS

  3. What kind of jobs do the people in your town/village do?
    Many people work in farming and some work in small shops or factories.
  4. Would you say it’s a good place to live?
    Yes, it’s a good place to live because it’s safe and everyone knows each other.

Accommodation:

  1. Tell me about the kind of accommodation you live in?
    I live in a small apartment. It has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
  2. How long have you lived there?
    I have lived there for five years.
  3. What do you like about living there?
    I like that it is close to my school and my friends live nearby.
  4. What sort of accommodation would you most like to live in?
    I would like to live in a house with a garden because I love plants and flowers.

B2 Level

  2. What’s the most interesting part of your town/village?
    The most interesting part is the old market square. It’s always busy with people shopping and socializing.
  3. What kind of jobs do the people in your town/village do?
    People here work in various sectors like education, healthcare, retail, and some in local businesses.
  4. Would you say it’s a good place to live?
    Yes, it’s a good place to live because it offers a good quality of life with plenty of amenities and a strong sense of community.

Accommodation:

    I live in a three-bedroom apartment in a residential area. It’s spacious and well-lit.
  2. How long have you lived there?
    I have lived there for about eight years.
  3. What do you like about living there?
    I like the convenience of being close to shops and public transport, as well as the friendly neighbors.
  4. What sort of accommodation would you most like to live in?

C1 Level

B2 Level

    I have had it for about four years now.

    I use it for my schoolwork, watching movies, and keeping in touch with friends and family online.

    It is important because it helps me with my studies and allows me to stay connected with important people in my life. It also stores many of my personal memories, like photos and videos.

C1 Level
